First through 3rd grade students in Catherine and Gina’s classroom presented their science fair projects this week. Students chose a topic to study and present to classmates, teachers and parents.
Students studied how salt prevents accidents in the winter, how varying amounts of flour affect a chocolate chip cookie, how a cake rises, the effectiveness of hand-washing methods and more.
Students summarized their research method; stated their hypotheses; listed materials used; designed their experiments using a control when necessary; presented their observations; shared their results in tables, charts and images; and summarized their conclusion and future ideas.
We were thrilled to hear their presentations and to see all of the students’ hard work!
