As “chef for a day,” Clo chose a delicious menu for our Valentine’s Day lunch

New School Montessori 6th grader, Clo, was our “chef for a day” today. She selected a healthy and well-balanced lunch menu that excited the senses. Clo chose a number of fresh salads including a garden salad; a rice, spinach and sweet potato salad; a chickpea salad with feta, tomatoes, red onions and cucumbers.
 
Garlic bread was served with panko crusted tofu and fettuccine alfredo with topping choices of chicken strips, marinated mushrooms or steamed broccoli. The end of the meal was punctuated with a naturally sweetened vanilla cupcake with a dollop of valentine-pink cream cheese on top. Way to go, Clo!
