Every year TNSM offers an evening called, Life After The New School.  We invite representatives from schools our 6th grade students often enroll.   All (9-12) families are invited to attend this informative evening.  We will have representatives from 7 Hills, Cincinnati Country Day, Summit Country Day, The School for Creative and Performing Arts, Walnut Hills, Clark Montessori, and Gamble Montessori. The New School Montessori invites you to attend an evening of karaoke for adult alumni, current parents, staff and friends.  The event takes place at The Northside Tavern with a live karaoke band and no longer includes a fundraising element. Taking the TerraNova serves as a practical life tool but also identifies student performance toward mastery of specific content objectives. It’s important to note that children’s academic progress is based on a number of factors that include, but are not limited to, the TerraNova test alone.

6th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C.

Our 6th graders have the opportunity to explore Washington D.C., its monuments and other important museums and sights as they travel by plane and public transportation with teachers and chaperones. Students try new foods, learn to budget their meal allowance and enjoy the thrill of our nation’s capital.

You are welcome to attend TNSM Board meetings usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We have 10-12 parent board members each year who meet with administrative staff to help guide the business and mission of the school.

Each year at TNSM, elementary students celebrate Halloween in a special way. The photos below, show some of the famous characters we’ve identified from previous years through their clever costumes and spoken clues about their lives. The 6th graders share their love of anatomy in a “D’em Bones” song that lists bones from (head) parietal bone… to (toe) the distal phalanges. We are looking forward to this year’s celebration.
