TNSM Parent Education – Positive Discipline @ The New School Montessori

New School Montessori parents are invited to attend a 2-hour presentation about positive discipline for children. The event will be held in the Growing Room. Childcare for TNSM-aged children will be provided. RSVP to Jeff Groh by July 27. New to TNSM – Preprimary Orientation

For preprimary students who have not attended TNSM before, we are offering 2 days of orientation for them to grow more familiar with the routines and rhythms of their new Montessori classrooms. Students are required to attend both days. Following their orientation, their next day of school is Wednesday, August 22 when school begins. You are welcome to enter the classroom as early as 8:30 with your child. We ask that you spend 10 to 15 minutes doing a work with your child before teachers begin their orientation with students around 8:45. On Monday, August 20 parents are to stay for a ...

This for a special orientation day for elementary-age students new to TNSM and for those entering 1st and 4th grade. The orientation begins promptly at 10AM and ends at 2PM. This is for students only. Lunch will be provided.

We have 12 parent board members each year who meet with administrative staff to help guide the business and mission of the school. You are welcome to attend TNSM Board meetings usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of most months.

Teachers will make a brief presentation to all of the (6-9) parents, letting you know about procedures in the classroom, ways to contact them, and their educational plans for the year. There will also be time for questions and answers. Childcare is provided for children of New School age in the Annex.

Event for parents of 3-to 6- year-olds to hear about the educational plans for their children. Childcare is provided for children of New School age. Childcare is provided for children of New School age downstairs in Buckeye Room (across from the West Room). Please sign in and out. Everyone should meet in the Growing Room for a brief introduction.  Families will then break out into sessions depending on what level your child is in (3’s, 4’s, or Kindergarten).  The orientation will include information on procedures, curriculum expectations, and social/emotional planes of development.
