What fun to build a table with Robby — and the students can practice so many skills at the same time. We are lucky to have Robby, New School Montessori preprimary teacher and master carpenter, design and create cubbies and tables for our classrooms. Students worked with Robby to take measurements of a table he’s already made and will wait until he brings back the necessary pre-cut pieces of wood so they can assemble, glue and screw it together. This is a great opportunity for the children to see and be involved in the process of building an important piece of furniture for their classroom.
