CSO Harpist Visits TNSM

We are grateful for the time Gillian Benet Sella spent with our preprimary and elementary students during her visit to The New School Montessori this week. Gillian is the harpist for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and related some of her experiences as a harpist, explained the intricacies of the instrument, and shared some of the techniques used to create different sounds. 3-6 Dance Club Performance

TNSM preprimary teacher Jennifer Frank and her after-school dance club students gave a wonderful performance of the dances they’ve been working on this semester. The New School Montessori offers amazing after-school club opportunities for children from age 3 to grade 6. Outside of Jennifer’s work as a New School teacher, she is also a Cincinnati Ballet instructor and performs with Contemporary Dance Theater.

School House Symphony Visited TNSM

Children had a close up view as the beautiful sounds of musicians’ instruments blended together in song. The students heard each instrument alone, learning about the properties and sounds of each.  We thank School House Symphony for bringing their program to our school. [fbphotos id=537638422988700]
