1st Grade Botany with Colleen

Teacher Colleen Blumer and the first grade students enjoyed gathering seeds and plants of all sorts today for their botany lesson and “seedy” art projects. The children will examine all of the plants, learn about the structures, diagram the parts and then create beautiful works from the many seeds and plant parts that remain. To help children answer this question, we look to afford them with new and non-traditional ways of experiencing education at TNSM.  We look to ensure that when asked, our kids can answer the statement/question posed of me, “School Makes Me Feel . . .” in a hopeful and positive way. Today, I challenge you to do this.  Ask your child(ren) to finish this statement, “School Makes Me Feel . . .”  Then, google it.  Find out how …

We’d like to thank parent directors: Alicia Goldsmid, Jen Kreder, Karen Stull and Renee Dustman.   Browse the photos below to see if you recognize any interesting characters from history.
