Kara Hill, (6-9) Support Specialist

Kara earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Wake Forest University. She worked as a first grade teacher in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school district for six years before taking time away from the classroom to be a stay-at-home mom. During this time, she fell in love with the Montessori philosophy, which greatly influenced her parenting.

In 2017, Kara was overjoyed to discover The New School Montessori when her family relocated to Cincinnati and her son, Myles, thrived in its nurturing environment. Kara is a Chicago native who has happily settled in Cincinnati after living in North Carolina and Wisconsin. She lives in the Clifton neighborhood with her husband, Garick, her four children, Myles, Rhys, Tori, and Kolbe, and her dog, Bo. Most weekends Kara can be found at a soccer field cheering on her children. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, spending time in nature, reading, and volunteering in the community.
