Marissa Johnson, (3-6) Teacher
After observing at the Xavier Lab School, Marissa fell in love with the Montessori philosophy and has never looked back. As a Cincinnati native, she comes from a family of Xavier grads and graduated from Xavier University with a degree in Montessori education, ages (3-6). What drew Marissa to the Montessori method is that it teaches the whole child. She is very excited to be a part of The New School Montessori family.
Marissa lives in Hyde Park with her fiancé, Jack, and their dog, Cooper. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks and spending time with family and friends. When Marissa’s not out walking, you can find her trying new restaurants, going to Xavier basketball games, and making materials for the classroom.
