Montessori-in-Motion Info:

When to bring kids? / What to wear? / Where to be?
Hello Elementary parents.

Our dance teacher, Jeanne Speier, asked me to send along this information to you. Please let Jeanne know if you have any questions or concerns.

Jeanne’s Letter:

Students in TNSM’s elementary grades have been working hard on their Montessori-in-Motion presentation which happens next week. It is the one opportunity each year to see the results of dance, music and stringed instruments taught in TNSM’s curriculum.

  • Wed, Mar 8 morning performance
What should my elementary child wear to school?
  • Evening performance: Come dressed in black or dark pants, bare feet and a white T-shirt.

Additional info for 3rd, 5th, 6th graders
(We really need the extra time to get costumes on)
  • The traditional Balinese dance costumes are time consuming to put on.
  • We will put some makeup on the older girls. Please let me know if you don’t want that.
  • It would be great if you don’t mind painting girls’ fingers and toes with red nail polish

Where do students go when they arrive?

  • Students will be getting dressed in the upstairs classrooms of the Mansion in the (6-9).
  • Boys will be in one room and girls will be in the other.
Where is the performance?
  • In the Growing Room

Your children and I look forward to sharing the dance that comes from Bali, Indonesia.

Thank you, Jeanne Speier
