Phil Swenson, (9-12) Ex-Day Teacher
Phil holds a masters degree in literature from Texas State University and a Montessori teaching credential from the Cincinnati Montessori Secondary Teacher Education Program. Before joining The New School Montessori, Phil taught games and fitness, English, and history to adolescent learners in Montessori programs in Kentucky.
Phil loves a good book, gardening and DIY projects. He enjoys being outdoors and takes every opportunity to have class outside when possible. Phil believes the job of a Montessori teacher means more than simply delivering academic content; instead, he believes an educator resembles that of a guide who helps the whole child discover the potential within herself or himself.
