New School. New Opportunities.

Today, Tuesday, December 11, 2012, the community gathered to celebrate the renovation of our new Enrichment Center located adjacent to The New School’s current campus.  Construction began on the Enrichment Center renovation on Friday, October 19, 2012. Set to open in fall 2013, the Enrichment Center will allow for a continuation of the best fine arts and after-school programs offered to children anywhere. Additionally, other currently used spaces in and around campus will be re-organized, re-defined and re-purposed to ensure that every child, aged 3 – 12, will create and grow in the best and most aesthetically pleasing spaces possible. A Learning Community

My last post included information about a professional development opportunity that faculty and staff recently shared.  In that post, I promised to provide more insights gained from the experience so that our learning could continue and we could support you, our reader, in furthering your thinking too. Always Learning

Just like the children, TNSM staff and faculty are always encouraged to learn, discover and explore new things.  As such, many of us shared in the ISACS Annual Conference last week in Louisville, Kentucky.  I heard a great deal of information that sparked my imagination and brought many new thoughts.  Given this fact, I have a great deal to share.  Watch for posts in the coming days that will afford you the same opportunities that we took advantage of at the Conference.  We’ve been inspired to innovate and inspire ourselves and all while amidst a capital campaign and construction dust. …
