Congratulations to TNSM 4th grader Kaiya who was recognized for her outstanding character and leadership by staff and counselors during summer session at YMCA’s Camp Ernst. Kaiya was one among 12 students selected for this Lakeview Legend Award from over 600 campers who participated in the program.
Kiaya was chosen for her core character values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. After receiving her medal, Kiaya (along with the 11 others selected) watered a tree symbolizing their duty to use their strong character to nurture themselves and their peers as they grow.
Unit Leader Bella Frueh said. “We are proud to have campers like Kaiya at our camp. She is a friend to everyone, and we hope her character continues to be an example for others in years to come. “
