Cam Squire, (6-9) Ex-Day

Cam is excited to be a part of The New School Montessori family and is thrilled to help cultivate an environment where children can learn and grow in a safe, free, and creative space.

Cam is very passionate about the joy of creation and play, as he has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, as well as certification in game design and creative writing from the University of Cincinnati.

Cam was graced with wonderful teachers and professors that encouraged his love of learning, and he has found education to be his calling. Wanting to pay this forward, Cam has sought out a number of opportunities in the Ohio area, including working as a college teaching assistant, aiding with local art summer camps, and spearheading art programming with non-profit organizations. Giving everyone, especially children, a place where they are free to try new things, make mistakes, and learn from them without judgement or worry is very important to him.

Giving back to the communities from the ground up is important as well, as Cam still regularly volunteers at Tikkun Farm, a nonprofit in Mt. Healthy, with their art programming and free market. He loves working directly with people and giving of his time and energy to aid whenever he can.

Even outside of work, Cam loves learning and is a certified “nerd.” From teaching himself how to use new design software to subjecting his kitchen to every new recipe he can find, Cam adores a personal challenge. He loves drawing, romantic comedy shows, and playing tabletop role-playing games to write communal stories with friends.
