Staff begin to prepare materials and spaces for the beginning of school.
Families new to TNSM are invited to meet with director Jeff Groh and the TNSM board members and their families for a get-together of lunch-by-the-bite.
For preprimary students who have not attended TNSM before, we are offering 2 days of orientation for them to grow more familiar with the routines and rhythms of their new Montessori classrooms. These students are required to attend both days. Following their 2-day orientation, their next day with normal school hours is Wednesday, August 21 when school begins.
You are welcome to enter the classroom as early as 8:30 with your child.
New parents are to attend a brief parent orientation on Monday, August 19 in the Growing Room from 8:45 – 9:00 a.m.

Elementary student orientation (10AM – 2PM)
For elementary students new to TNSM and for those entering 1st and 4th grade. Lunch is provided.
We have 12 parent board members each year who meet with administrative staff to help guide the business and mission of the school. You are welcome to attend TNSM Board meetings usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of most months
All students begin their regular schedule today.
Event for parents of 3-to 6- year-olds to hear about the educational plans for their children. Childcare is provided for children of New School age.
Childcare is provided for children of New School age downstairs in Buckeye Room (across from the West Room). Please sign in and out.
Teachers will make a brief presentation to all of the (9-12) parents, letting you know about procedures in the classroom, ways to contact them, and their educational plans for the year. There will also be time for questions and answers.
